Build Week

Make it

Fly it

Keep it

Twice a year, students ages 10–20 step out of the classroom and into a hands-on engineering experience with Build Week. Where they build, fly, and keep their own aircraft. One week focuses on remote-controlled planes, the other on custom drone builds. Students can sign up for one or both weeks based on their interests. Guided by industry professionals, they gain real engineering skills through real-world application. All materials are included in the cost of the program, and each week ends with a live flight—proof of what they’ve created and how far they’re ready to go.

Remote-Controlled Plane

September 29–October 3, 2025

Students will dive into the fundamentals of flight by building and flying their own remote-controlled aircraft. From assembling airframes to understanding control surfaces and flight dynamics, this immersive experience brings aviation engineering to life. The week culminates in a test flight where students take the controls and watch their creations take to the sky—proof of what they can build when given the tools, the guidance, and the runway.

Drones

February 16-20, 2026

Students will dive into the world of unmanned flight by building and flying their own custom drone. Throughout the week, they’ll learn the principles of drone design, assemble their aircraft from the ground up, and fine-tune its performance for flight. The experience culminates in a live flight test, where students pilot their finished drones, walking away with new skills, real-world insight, and a drone they built themselves.
